Facts about NYB

The members of the National Youth Board feel strongly that leadership opportunities for older pony club members is vital for their continued interest and enjoyment in the organization. For this reason we recommend that every region set up a junior board. This will not only help retain each region's older members but is also a vital piece of the direct communication link between the USPC Board of Governors and the general membership which the National Youth Board was created in part to serve.

For more information on junior boards check out this presentation given at the 2010 Annual Meeting by the Lakeshore Region Junior Board.

The National Youth Board realizes that a very large percentage of USPC members never achieve ratings higher than a D3, but acknowledges the importance of these members experiences in the organization and choose not to include a minimum rating requirement for its delegates. This makes the National Youth Board one of the few leadership opportunities available to older D rated members.
